Jenna + Adam’s wicked good wedding in Westport, MA

I met Jenna many months after she booked me. Our first meeting was on a rainy Sunday morning in Westport. I had no idea we would be rock climbing, on the beach, on a stormy day. We spent over an hour talking about the wedding and looking at the sites, all within a mile of each other. I learned that day that Jenna and Adam went out west to Oregon to work on Adam’s grandfather’s vineyard. How exciting, and what a rare and delicious opportunity! That day though, I had no idea how fantabulous the wedding would be. Swing dancing, with a change of outfit for the first dance? Homemade cake, cupcakes, and preserves for the guests? 1,000 good-luck origami cranes made of decorative and recycled papers by Jenna and her family & friends? Adam’s wedding band was made by Jenna? And Adam made the wine that was served during dinner? Nope, didn’t expect any of that! And what a nice surprise it was. Yes, Jenna and Adam, it *was* a wicked good day!

‘Get Hitched In Vegas With Thule’ spurs actual hitching!

Get Hitched In Vegas With Thule! A great name for an intimate party at the Palms in Vegas celebrating the unveiling of new hitch racks. No one from Thule knew though that the party would prompt a real life hitching! Well, an engagement actually, but close enough. This was an amazing idea by the groom-to-be, and the location (in the balcony pool overlooking the city) couldn’t be any more picture perfect. Congrats to the couple!!

Stef + Matt in Newport, RI

Stef and Matt were married at the Naval Officer’s Club in Newport, RI. An unbelievable location. Probably the best view in all of Newport of the Pell Bridge (aka: Newport Bridge). Despite the streaks of lightening and torrential rain that kept the ceremony indoors, Stef and Matt had a fantastic, sunny outlook on the day. I loved Stef’s vintage look for the wedding, and her strike-a-pose personality toward the camera. Fun, fun, fun!

Kara + Aaron in Ipswich, MA

Kara and Aaron had a lovely outdoor wedding at The Hellenic Center in Ipswich, MA. It was incredibly hot outside, but everyone kept their cool and enjoyed the sunny, July day.

During the ceremony I learned that Kara and Aaron had been dating since high school and had spent a significant amount of time apart while Aaron served overseas. The ceremony included some readings from letters they sent to each other during that time, and they were so touching.

The wedding took place on 4th of July weekend, but the dinner served was a family style Thanksgiving dinner. Fabulous merger of two US holidays, and the food was delicious!

Sara + Andrew’s wedding in California

A beautiful wedding at a really cute location in Long Beach, California. I was so happy to be a part of this wedding! The clients were referred to me by my friend Britney who was unable to shoot the wedding herself because she was a maid of honor at the event.

The funny backstory to this wedding was that I actually went ring shopping with Britney and Andrew last summer! It was just by chance that I was there, as I was staying with Britney for a few days to shoot a wedding in LA, and that was the only time Britney and Andrew could sneak in a ring shopping date. I didn’t meet Sara until the morning of her wedding, in her sexy blue satin robe that said “Bride” on the back.

Thanks to Joe Rumore, who was at the wedding with Britney, and second shot some of the day for fun, and to help out a bit when the timeline went a bit off schedule (as they always do). Hey, a photographer can never really put their camera down, can they?

Elissa + Anthony’s wedding in Newport, RI

A rock-tabulous wedding at Belle Mer, Newport. The band, and the DJ, kept the dance floor packed, even though all the dinner courses. Did anyone even eat? I have no idea, but I do know that everyone had a great time with Elissa and Anthony!
