Kara + Aaron in Ipswich, MA

Kara and Aaron had a lovely outdoor wedding at The Hellenic Center in Ipswich, MA. It was incredibly hot outside, but everyone kept their cool and enjoyed the sunny, July day.

During the ceremony I learned that Kara and Aaron had been dating since high school and had spent a significant amount of time apart while Aaron served overseas. The ceremony included some readings from letters they sent to each other during that time, and they were so touching.

The wedding took place on 4th of July weekend, but the dinner served was a family style Thanksgiving dinner. Fabulous merger of two US holidays, and the food was delicious!

2009 Longsjo Classic Criterium

Today I drove up to Fitchburg, MA to photograph the Longsjo Classic Criterium. What a blast it was! I watched a few races, but wasn’t able to stay and watch the men’s and women’s pro races, maybe next year.

Megan and David were a referral from a past client of mine, Ann, whose wedding I shot at the Spring House Hotel on Block Island a few years ago (has it really been that long? wow).

When I met Megan and David for their consultation I recognized David right away! Naturally, I was thrilled when I found out I’d be shooting their wedding, and seeing my past clients again, Ann and Mike. It was a great night!

Nantucket on a rainy day

This weekend I went to Nantucket to shoot with a fabulous photographer friend of mine, Zofia. I have never been to Nantucket (gasp) so it was a great excuse to see the island and my photo pal. Of course, it rained almost the whole time I was there, thanks to hurricane season.

The below images were shot with my camera on the ground. Yup, in the wet grass! I wasn’t looking through the lens at all, so it was really fun to see what I had when I got home today. These are my favorites from the burst captured:
