Newport, RI Engagement Session

Strong winds at the beach make for great waves. This makes for incredible surfing (for the east coast). Which attracts the surfers. Thus creating the opportunity for fun engagement photos! I always love when a surfer crosses the path of my lens because I know it’ll be a great image if I capture at just the right moment!

And there is my favorite building in all of Newport, which is still painted the same vibrant colors that have always made it stand out, and so wonderfully unique. Thrilled that Erica and Justin were open to starting their session at this location!

Had a great time with Michelle and Ken this weekend in Newport at second beach and the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. Love the colors that they are wearing and how it works so well with the landscape. Great choice in outfits, you two! See you at your wedding soon!

Christen + Nick at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire

I had a lot of fun with Christen and Nick up in New Hampshire this afternoon. The drive up was beautiful. Fall foliage starting to peak (not quite there yet though) with beautiful mountains framing the highway. As soon as I arrived into Hanover though it was cold, dark, and windy. Really looked like it was going to rain. We were delighted that by the end of the session we had warm golden sun, and even a faint rainbow!

The on going joke of the day was that they only needed five good photos. Just five. Then when their smile muscles started to fatigue they knocked it down to just three good photos. Well, of course I take many more fantastic images than that, but to run with the joke I one up’d them and said I’d give them SIX good photos! So here you go Christen and Nick, SIX photos Enjoy!

Katie, David and Nauset

Katie and David have a 160 pound baby girl, named Nauset. Named after a beach on Cape Cod, where they visit often, and where they will be having their wedding. It was great to meet both Katie and David finally, and especially Nauset!

‘Get Hitched In Vegas With Thule’ spurs actual hitching!

Get Hitched In Vegas With Thule! A great name for an intimate party at the Palms in Vegas celebrating the unveiling of new hitch racks. No one from Thule knew though that the party would prompt a real life hitching! Well, an engagement actually, but close enough. This was an amazing idea by the groom-to-be, and the location (in the balcony pool overlooking the city) couldn’t be any more picture perfect. Congrats to the couple!!

Tonight I had a superific photo session with Tara and Mike in Newport, RI. I absolutely can not wait for their wedding later this year! They were guests at Andrea’s and Evan’s wedding and look forward to seeing them soon too!

PS. Apples are a part of the wedding, so of course they brought a picture perfect apple to photograph!
